I am a fan of Vivan Arend and her Six Pack Ranch series, which is also connected to her Thompson and Sons Series. Troy's book is one that I really looked forward to getting. He is always in the background and mentioned, but you know he is important to this family. I LOVED his story! This is one of those books I can easily read again and again. The relationship between him and Nicole and so simple that it is complicated.People often get to this place in life where they feel like they have to meet these expectations of others and of society and it is no different for Nicole. She wants to find the right man, wants to get married and start a family....but you do these things and still remain true to who you are, or do you need to "grow up" and become a new version of you? Ms. Arend does an amazing job of taking us through this journey with Nicole.
Being interested in your best friend's sister, a pretty typical conflict in a story. Except in Troy's case it is anything but typical, or simple. What do you do when you don't want to lose someone who has come to mean more to you than you realized? Troy is a man who loves and takes care of everyone around him, and always has, but the man most people "see" isn't the whole man. Ms. Arend does a phenomenal job of helping us to "see" Troy for who he is and the struggle for both him and Nicole in discovering the traits and sacrifices the rest of the world doesn't always see.
If you aren't familiar with this series, you need to be! You won't be disappointed, these are always part of my reread list!

I love how the story flows and can picture the characters comes to life. It's like you're right there watching it live. I love it when he finally realized that she meant more to him than just pure lust. Where do you see that instead of buying her a ring, that he buys the car she has her heart set on...so romantic.
Definitely a great story, the Thompson boys are a tough bunch of men but when they set their sights on the female that turns their world upside down they will do what ever it takes to make them theirs.
OMG! I loved this heart warming,breaking love story
. All the feels in one short story. It wasn’t really short but I could’ve continued reading so much more of these two love birds....
I have read all of the Thompson and Sons books and I think this is my favorite . I wild ride is a fairly smooth ride with Troy and Nicole . Of course, there are the usual pitfalls and I was surprised … No spoilers here … With a twist at the end . If you haven't read this series, start now . Family values and family angst are dealt with and along with this being a sexy ride also . Just sit back and enjoy a wild ride you won't be disappointed .
Even though I'm sad this is the last book of the series I do love how it ended and happy we will get to see more of the Thompson's in the six pack series. I have to say I absolutely love Troy!!! In a way he reminds me of myself a little. The fact that he has put everyone before himself is just amazing. And Nicole who wouldn't love her and her smartassness lol she definitely is Troy's better half that's for sure. Thank you for another amazing book and a great way to end the series. I hope that there might be some mini stories like there were for the colemans -)
This was a great series. I'm sorry this is the last one. This book just shows you, you can't judge a book by it's cover, or in this case, the man. Everyone thought Troy was a slacker, never serious or reliable. Nic saw something in him even though she wouldn't admit it. She was happy with their relationship as it was, sneaking around to have sex. Or was she? Her sisters were having babies and she wanted that to. Can Troy convince her he's the one for her? Will Nic let her instincts take over and give Troy a chance? If you haven't read the series, what are you waiting for. This is a must read.
Troy and Nicole have the perfect relationship of being friends with benefits, no strings attatched and no emotions. That is until Nicole steps back and takes a look at her life. She has sisters who are married and with children and realizes that it is time for her to stop the "partying" and get serious with life. Nicole decides the only way for her to get serious is to get rid of Troy.
Troy is loving life and doing his thing with Nicole and the best part is that no one knows about them and their fun...not even her brother who is his best friend. It isn't until Troy see's Nicole walk into the bar with another guy that he wants to know what is going on.
This book which is sadly the last in the Thompson series is a good way to end. The relationship between Troy and Nicole is one that readers can connect with. Watch these two decide what it is they both want and if being together and what they want is both going to work. I highly recommend this book, Vivian Arend has not disappointed her readers with this great read.....get ready for this Wild Ride!
